the many loves of joe carroll
A memoir as told to Finbarr Corr
"All of us, at one time or another have read the memoirs of famous people
like presidents or great states people. Joe Carroll does not describe himself
in his memoirs as a famous person nor would I, on the other hand, describe
him as an "ordinary Joe."
With the help of a friend and former
early Bird from the YMCA in Madison New Jersey, Finbarr Corr, he has shared
with all of us his fascinating life story. Joe’s life has been filled
with many loves: his love of work, which began while he was merely seven years
old, his love of golf, cars, his family and his son, Robert.
Above all was
his love for Adele, his sweetheart and life-partner for sixty-seven and a half
years.
Joe has more than survived it all and challenges all of his golfing
friends to shoot their age (93) as he is wont to do on the golf course."
Gary Ruckelshaus
Former Mayor, Madison N.J.
